📖 The Story

Rain pattered softly against the window of Little Mandu’s cozy home. With nothing else to do outside, Mandu tied on his tiny apron and decided to make something warm and yummy — vegetable soup!

He chopped carrots, stirred the pot, and hummed a happy tune as the delicious smell filled the room.

“This is going to be the perfect rainy-day treat,” Mandu said proudly.

The Story

As Mandu sat down with his steaming bowl of soup, he heard a gentle knock at the door.

Knock knock.

It was Pip the squirrel, shivering and dripping rainwater.
“M-Mandu… do you have anything warm to eat?” Pip asked with a small sneeze.

Mandu looked at his pot. He didn’t have a lot of soup… but Pip looked so cold.
“Of course,” Mandu said, handing Pip a bowl.

Just as they were enjoying their soup, another knock sounded.

Knock knock.

This time, it was Tori the turtle, holding a broken umbrella.
“My umbrella flipped inside-out… do you have anything warm, Mandu?”

Mandu hesitated.
He looked at his pot again.
It wasn’t much now…

But he poured Tori a bowl anyway.
“Here, Tori. Warm yourself up.”

Soon after, a tiny voice squeaked at his window.
It was Piplet the mouse, shivering from nose to tail.
“Mandu… I’m chilly…”

Mandu peered into his pot. Only a small spoonful of soup was left.

“Oh no,” he whispered to himself.
“If I share this too… I won’t have any for me.”

He sighed softly.
But he thought about Piplet’s tiny shivers.

So Mandu scooped the last of the soup into a little bowl and handed it over.
Piplet’s face lit up instantly. “Thank you, Mandu!”

Just as Mandu sat sadly at the table — hungry, with an empty pot — something surprising happened.

Bubble… bubble… whoosh!

The pot began to glow!
Steam puffed up in little sparkly clouds, and slowly… the pot filled itself back up with warm, delicious soup!

Pip gasped.
Tori blinked.
Piplet squeaked.

“Mandu,” Tori said gently, “the forest always gives back to hearts that share.”

Mandu touched the warm pot and smiled.
His tummy felt full — not from food, but from kindness.

🌱 Interactive Moments

  • Ask your child: “How do you feel when you share with someone?”
  • Discuss: “What do you think made the soup pot refill?”
  • Role-play: Pretend to “share” food or toys to show kindness in action.

🌟 Moral of the Story

🍲 Sharing what we have — even a little — fills hearts with warmth and happiness.
Generosity always finds its way back to us.

🎨 Extra Activity Idea

Craft: “My Sharing Pot”
  • Draw or cut out a paper pot.
  • Create small paper “soup ingredients” (carrots, potatoes, noodles).
  • On each piece, write or draw a way your child can share — share toys, share snacks, share time, etc.
Drop them into the pot to make your own “Sharing Soup.”

🎉 Wrap-Up

As the rain slowed and a rainbow peeked outside, Little Mandu and his friends enjoyed another warm bowl together — a bowl made magical not by vegetables, but by kindness. 🌈
