Pinecone Party Reindeer

✨ A Craft Filled with Magical

Turn fallen pinecones into adorable mini reindeer decorations! A fun, safe, eco-friendly Christmas craft that encourages kids to explore nature and reuse simple household items.

The Craft

You’ll only need:

  • 1 clean pinecone (collected from outdoors)
  • Recycled cardboard (from a cereal box)
  • Scrap felt or old fabric (tiny bits for ears & scarf)
  • Googly eyes (or paper cut-outs)
  • A bottle cap OR a pom-pom for the nose
  • Pipe cleaners (or twine) for antlers
  • Glue
  • Child-safe scissors

✂️ Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare Your Pinecone

Shake off dirt and let it dry.
This becomes your reindeer’s fluffy body!

2. Add the Eyes

Glue googly eyes near the top of the pinecone.

3. Make the Nose

Use a bottle cap painted red (or a pom-pom).
Stick it at the bottom front—hello, Rudolph!

4. Create Antlers

Twist pipe cleaners into Y-shaped antlers.
Tuck them between the top pinecone scales or glue them on.

5. Add Ears & Scarf

Cut small felt triangles for ears.
Wrap a fabric strip around as a mini scarf—cute & cozy!

6. Stand or Hang

Glue the base to reused cardboard for stability OR
add a thread loop to hang it as a rustic Christmas ornament.
